We went to a Half Price Books tonight and made it home with several good finds. I love going there for kids books, you can get really nice hardcovers for not much money. Check them out!

The other night I got out of the house for a little while to meetup with a good friend. I haven’t gone out much totally alone lately, so it was fun. And it was great to hang out and chat. Before meeting up, I ran into Tigertree real quick to see if I could find a necklace to wear for a fun night out we have coming up. I had looked earlier at Target, but the only ones I thought were cool were $40 and I didn’t really feel like spending that much on a necklace at Target. They have some fun stuff, but everything goes on clearance eventually, so at $40 it felt overpriced. Anyway, I found a pretty cool necklace, a sparkly stone on a silver chain and then saw this great little owl pin and picked him up too. He might make it on a coat or something some day, but he also looks pretty happy sitting in the welcome shadowbox by our front door. He is adorable! Too bad he wasn’t also a necklace, I would wear him all of the time. I’m sure Desi and Sophie would have a great time tugging on him.

I’ve always thought shirt dresses looked great. I don’t own one though. Not sure I would like the collar on the neckline. But this one in particular looks so pretty! Makes me think of beautiful spring and summer days, hanging freshly laundered clothes on the line and just enjoying being outside. From Modcloth.

Having two little kids makes something as simple and as fun as riding a bike seem like it is way off in the future. I love this Madsen Bike in the light blue color. And two seatbelts in the bucket. Carefree summer rides!

I’ve wanted a pretty scrub brush for the kitchen for awhile. Yay for making boring tasks pretty. Sur la Table has a great option for only $2.95. And while we were there I picked up these little snack bowls on clearance.

I got this shirt recently and as an added bonus it was on sale! I love the print and the fit is nice.  Perfect shirt to pick up after having a baby to make yourself feel good.

I picked up this cute little book today about an owl who wants an earlier bedtime. Maybe it will inspire Desi to want to go to bed early on his own!
