I never really did a nursery for Desi. We just collected things for him and then we blinked and he was in his own room ready for a big boy bed. So I gathered Sophie’s things into one area of our bedroom and here is the result:

We went to IKEA over the weekend to pick up a table and chairs set for Desi’s room. After seeing this transformation of the IKEA Latt Set on OhDeeDoh, we were going to get that one. But it looks a bit cheap in person. So we decided to spend a little more money and get him the Svala Table and four chairs. He loves them! I think we may paint them a glossy blue color when the weather improves. If you are looking for a kid’s set, this might be one to check out. The price is good and it is all wood.
I love how these sinks look in kitchens. Are they are trend though? They seem to pop up on blog photos everywhere. I was wondering if they are going to be a trend that dates your house as late 2000s/2010s. They do create such a clean classic look. photo via Desire to Inspire.
It would be great to be able to finish decorating and putting together Desi’s bedroom next year.
Here are some things I think would look nice:
A bookcase, curtain rods and framing and matting a print are also necessary and eventually a twin bed, desk, window bench seat, wall shelves and possibly a trundle would be nice. It would also be nice to rip out the carpet and have pretty hardwood floors, but for now, carpet is nice for little kids.
