Sophie’s was pretty easy this year, we just put a cute hat on her. So she was a pretty woodland ensemble of owls and hedgehogs.
Desi wanted to be Thomas this year. So I made his costume out of a diaper box, (Size 4 Target, Club Size), paper plates and brads (so Thomas has moving wheels), ribbon, felt, blue spraypaint, cardboard, glue, red paint, and gold paper for the number ones. He loved it. It turned out really nice. I liked that total out-of-pocket cost was $4.99 for the brads since I already had everything else!
Running to candy!
Walker wanted to go as Dia de los Muertos this year, so we put together some fun outfits for Highball Halloween last night. Despite the freezing temperatures, we had a great time!
I picked up this delightful Squid Santa for Desi’s ornament this year at Craftin Outlaws over the weekend. Image via Cleo Dee. Get yourself one here!
Pottery Barn Kids have some Christmas items available now and we got Sophie’s ornament for this year. It’s the fairy. So cute!
However, I was disappointed to discover that Hanna Andersson has discontinued the Dala Horse ornaments and instead replaced it with this bird design. Really disappointing. Not sure what to do for Desi now!
Time for Christmas Ornament Collection update!
For Desi: Hanna Andersson released their Dala Horse ornament for 2010. It’s another pretty one!
And Sophie’s collection is going to be dollies. This is a cute elf one from Pottery Barn Kids (already sold out!):
