Sophie’s Owl Party

Sunday, March 20th, 2011

Little Sophie is one year old! Happy Birthday Sweetie! It’s been a wonderful year and we are so happy to have you in our lives.

We had a little party for her. Here are some of the party details!

Cake and cupcakes from Bakery Gingham.

Macarons from Pistacia Vera. Flavors: Chocolate, Honey Vanilla Bean, Black Raspberry and Strawberry Amaretto.

Long pink biscuits are Strawberry Pocky.

Sophie’s Party Dress from Target last year. Hair clip from Gymboree. Rainbow tissue poms with tissue paper from 2011 Target Valentine’s Day line.

Balloons and Honeycomb Tissue Daisies from Bake It Pretty.

Owl fabric is Urban Zoologie Pink Owls by Ann Kelle for Robert Kaufman. I found it on ebay because it has been out awhile.

Paper on flower vases is from My Little Shoebox.

I made the owls following this guide. The invitations, highchair border and ‘tape the beak on the owl game’ were my designs.

Ahoy, It’s a Boy! Baby Shower Invitations

Saturday, August 22nd, 2009

I made these baby shower invitations for a dear friend of mine who just had a little boy. One side of the anchor had written: Ahoy, it’s a boy! and the other side was her registry info. So it was a little hidden. Finished it off with a light blue envelope and the new Gulf Coast Lighthouse stamps from the post office. They really tied the nautical theme together.

Shirt Project

Saturday, August 22nd, 2009

We have a wedding to go to tomorrow to see some wonderful friends of ours start their new life together. So last night I went to find Desi a shirt to wear. We found this cute one at Gymboree.

However, it is a onesie. But we really liked it, so we bought it and today I cut off the bottom and made it a shirt. I’m pleased with how it turned out! He will look adorable tomorrow with his doggie shirt and light blue seersucker pants.

Fashion and Craftin’ Weekend

Monday, November 24th, 2008

I had a fun weekend. Friday night Katie and I went to Kelli Martin’s Current Anti.Label Collection Fashion Show at Black Market. She showed two collections and it was all so pretty! It was really fun going to see a fashion show. And it was great to see her creations in person instead of just on Project Runway. Here are a couple of our favorites:

Then today I finished two of my holiday crafts, a wreath for our front door and a Santa tree topper for our Christmas tree. I think they turned out great!
